Curtain Tie-backs

C U R T A I N  T I E – B A C K S

Hello hello.

As many of you know, I love home decor and interior design almost as much as I love fashion. As a result, I am constantly looking for new ways to personalize my apartment. My place has four great big windows, so I knew when I moved in last May that I wanted to splurge on curtains. I love the sage blue silk curtains now featured in my living room and bedroom, which I often leave parted to let in as much natural light as possible.

When I first started looking for curtain tie-backs, I was a little surprised at how pricey they can be. Having gone a bit over budget on the curtains, I came up with a quick fix solution for curtain tie-backs: a fabric store! Yes…fabric stores are full of endless possibilities when it comes to some nice DIY curtain tie-backs. See below:

Or some funky rope styles, if that’s more your thing:

They even have tassels, if you like the more traditional look:

I’m really into anything that resembles a braid these days, so I went for this option:

At $4 a yard, you can’t really go wrong with this one. I only spent $8 to make four tie-backs, and the good news is I can always change it up if I get bored!
